Brianna's Evidence of Learning

This week I started and finished Jono's Immersion. In Jono's Immerion we designed piece of equipment on a playground on tinker cad, then some of us got to get our designs 3D printed. My design didn't get printed, but here it is so far because I didn't finish it. I decided to make a maze because i like problem solving and i think it would be fun and creative to have in a playground.

This term there is going to be a talent show on September 13th. It is run by some LC7 students and some LC4 students and some high school students are helping. It started at auditions where people showed off their various talents and try to get a place in the talent show. After that, the judges had to pick 16 acts that would perform live at the talent show. I am not performing in the talent show, but I am an MC so I am still very excited.

This term we started a creativity Immersion and my first one was with Amy. In Amy's Immersion we were seeing what we could put in a new playground if time, space and money were not important. First, we went to bombpoint  playground for inspiration, then we had to do a survey on what we want in the playground? Where do you want it? Next we had to make a graph and finally we had to design our own playground.

In term 3 I did a science fair project With Jorja about lava lamps and why they react like they do to alka seltzer. We tried putting in a quarter of one, half of one, two and three, We also tried just 1 pill because that is the normal amount that you are supposed to put in. The lava lamp with one alka seltzer lasted the longest and the lava lamp with a quarter of an alka seltzer was the clearest. Next time I would have done whether the shape of the lava lamp effects it.

When we went to google summit we were late so we missed the first meeting so after we got our lanyards saying whether we were a presenter or an attendee we went to our first workshops. Before the day we had planned what workshops we were going to go to in every block and we had to have two backup workshops in case they were full because it was 20 people max each workshop. When we got to the room our workshops were in it was empty because everyone was still in the meeting so we got to choose any workshop we wanted, after every one had settled down everyone else came including the workshop presenters and the workshop started...

On August 11 is the google summit day, google summit is where students can run workshops about anything they want and they hav  to teach everyone attending about it, Lilly, Jorja and I are leading a workshop about how to design your own unique character with a personality.
